Joyer, shareS a new video for “Glluu” along with the track, the duo have announced new EP, I See Forward and Back, will drop on October 4 via Hit the North Records (Nisa, Cuffed Up). The new three-track body of work arrives as something of an expansion of their 2024 album, Night Songs.

The Philadelphia-and-Boston-based duo is made up of multi-instrumentalist brothers Nick and Shane Sullivan and later this year, they will be touring across the U.S. with Horse Jumper of Love and Wishy. Mixed by Ethan Williams and self-produced by the brothers, the new three track collection is a lo-fi, insular listen, stripping back some of the blowtorched guitars and jangly guitars demonstrated on Night Songs and replacing them with something solemn and hushed. Night Songs celebrated the self-destructive behaviors associated with nighttime, I See Forward and Back remembers some of the peaceful, more meditative moments.

Speaking about the new EP, Shane says: “We recently revisited these songs after “Night Songs” was put out. They were written around the early stages of the album so it was fun to go back to them post release. I was really into mixed media projects and always wanted to try making one cohesive visual accompaniment for a collection of songs. I like to look at the songs and video as being one big thing which is why I made each track blend into each other. We even tried to track some of them for “Night Songs” but realized we liked the warm and homemade feel of them and I feel like the production suites the visual style too. Although they never made it onto the final album, I still think it’s a cool extension of where we were at that time.”
