Ghost Of The Avalanche release Charity Single

Ghost Of The Avalanche release charity single remix
Ghost Of The Avalanche

Following the release of Ghost Of The Avalanche’s fourth EP Obsessive Compulsive Gender Dysphoria, the purveyors of bass ‘n’ drum driven noise-punk have released the EP’s opening track ‘Oblivion’ and an accompanying remix courtesy of Gavin Leesam’s electronic trickery as a single. Whereas the original song is a sub-two minute ramraid of caustic punk soundtracking the inevitable dystopian collapse in society, Leesam has transformed its untamed fury into an elongated, disorientating digital stomp. Nick Wiltone’s vocal
hook ‘follow us blindly into oblivion’ is repeated over a sea of churning synth tones, tempered beats and the occasional unhinged crash of digital distortion.

As it’s the season of good will, all proceeds will be donated to Shelter; Ghost of the Avalanche have said: “All December sales of this release will be donated to Shelter, a charity we feel is vital over the holiday period and beyond. Shelter help thousands of people over the UK who are homeless or faced with homelessness every year, so please dig deep this holiday season and find an extra few quid to go towards a truly brilliant cause. It’s the season for giving after all, and you get some sweet-ass music along with it!”
