London multi-hyphenate Gaika unveils a new single titled “Gunz” from his highly anticipated second album, Drift out September 8th on Big Dada Recordings.

The guitar-led offering captures Gaika versatility as he sings in droned out tones across a shoegaze soundscape fused with a roaring, gritty energy. The poignant lyrics and nostalgia of “Gunz” exerts a 90s grunge feel however Gaika manages to make it modern day with his fearless ambition to continually experiment, be progressive in his sound and show his true authentic self through his mesmerising music.

The track comes accompanied with a performance video with drummer Haruna Jebak, directed and edited by Gaika. The entrancing live visuals were shot by Jessica Au in London.

“Gunz” follows on from the indie-leaning “First Among Misfits” featuring Southall based script writer and artist THE NARRATOR, spirited single “PIÑATA” with its traditional North-African influences and snake charming melodies and the first introduction to this new body of work, the electrifying and twisted “Lady” ft. bbymutha.
