Fuzz Club 2024 festival Announces First Wave
Fuzz Club have announced the return of their Netherlands music festival alongside the first of wave artists. Fuzz Club 2024 will once again take place at the legendary Effenaar venue in Eindhoven over May 3-4 2024.
Among those announced today is Night Beats, the project of American psychedelic auteur Danny Lee Blackwell, who released their sixth studio album Rajan earlier this year – landing somewhere between Spaghetti Western film score and psych-pop opus, by way of Anatolian funk and soulful R&B. Los Angeles band Frankie And The Witch Fingers will be bringing their psych-punk freak-outs off the back of this year’s Data Doom LP. There will also be a rare European show from Brooklyn four-piece The Men – who this year released their ninth album New York City.
London post-punk band Crows and France’s The Psychotic Monks will be making the floors of the Effenaar shake with their uncompromising, abrasive noise-rock. Cult psychedelic post-punks and Fuzz Club lartists The Underground Youth will also appear and LA based electronic producer Al Lover will be serving up both a DJ set and a live performance of his trademark fusion of psychedelic beats, dub and krautrock.
With more bands to announce in the new year, the full list of names being announced today is: Night Beats, Frankie And The Witch Fingers, The Men, Crows, The Psychotic Monks, The Underground Youth, Al Lover, DAIISTAR, The Black Delta Movement, Upupayãma, Helicon, Throw Down Bones, Flying Moon In Space, The Gluts, Maquina., Los Palms and YOBS.
Effenaar is one of the largest music venues in The Netherlands and has been putting on incredible music since the early 70s, hosting the likes of Sonic Youth, The Cure, Joy Division, QOTSA, Ramones, Pixies and many, many more. In 2014 Effenaar hosted and organised the first edition of Eindhoven Psych Lab, a festival with three editions in total. It became the ‘go to’ psych festival on mainland Europe with two full days and over 30 incredible psych bands across two stages and a relaxed garden. From the start, Fuzz Club was present on-and-off stage providing bands, lots of vinyl and good times and in 2018 they joined forces to present a new festival at the Effenaar.
