Double Wish share new video for “Floating”
Double Wish, is the duo, comprised of Adam Sabolick and Philippe Andre, today they have dropped a new video for “Floating,” the track is off their EP, Universe Sometimes, available via Hit the North Records. The band – who will have more new music before the end of the year – will be performing at The Constellation Room, Santa Ana with Sixpence None the Richer on December 14.
Speaking about the track and the accompanying video, Sabolick says: “In a lot of ways “Floating” is an homage to summer, and the fleeting feelings of desire as it wanes. Our music and lives are so intertwined and inspired by living on the coast, and when the water and weather warms up it’s hard to believe that it will only last a moment and the longer days will eventually fade into fall. When Ed Diven (director) approached us about making a video for this song, we thought his recent move away from Los Angeles would be the perfect catalyst of inspiration to capture that sensation. Our first experience working with Ed on the “Blue Dream Baby” video from our first EP Light Split Sparkle was inspiring and creatively stimulating, and same goes for this time around with “Floating”.
Diven adds to say: “The music video for “Floating” was largely inspired by the textures of summer in Los Angeles. I wanted to recreate that feeling for myself since I no longer live there, and “Floating” provided the perfect soundtrack to do so. Although the video features various clips shot over the course of four years in LA, it heavily relies on some great concert footage shot by Ricky Kroening and a wonderful performance shot by Ronny K, both of whom I have to thank. In the end it was a genuine team effort, and I am always grateful to work with musicians like Adam and Phil who care about the visuals as much as I do.”
