This week saw the release of Chastity’s new video “Heaven Hell Anywhere Else.” The track is taken from his current release, Death Lust, out now via Captured Tracks and Royal Mountain. The video follows the powerful video for the album highlight “Children,” and builds on the strong visual aesthetic Chastity has been establishing since his earliest releases.

Brandon Williams was recently quoted from AdHoc:

“‘Heaven Hell Anywere Else’ is the most death-dreaming song on the record. I’ve been reading about how chemical our pleasure and happiness is. The feeling of pleasure just being dopamine, happiness serotonin. ‘Who laced my days with pain?’ I’m talking about imbalance of these things and feeling caught on the other side as though a God, someone or something, may be culpable. But, maybe it’s just these chemicals that hold that massive power over us, ‘serotonin don’t let me go’. The video is just about dead cops, burning their bodies in a church and going to the town fair with some friends.”

Chastity also recently announced North American tour dates supporting Barcelona’s post-punk darlings, MOURN. The tour begins on July 18 in Brooklyn at Baby’s All Right before making stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Chicago and many more cities before culminating in a performance at Toronto’s Great Wavelength Festival on August 18.
