“Carpet Floors” by Jesuits

Northern Transmissions' 'Song of the Day' is "Carpet Floors" by Jesuits. The Bristol UK band is currently working on new material

Following a string of live shows and DIY nights, Bristol outfit Jesuits find spiritual bliss in merging the heady influences of 60’s psychedelia and early 90’s grunge to create a sonic wave of fuzz and jangle.

Birthed from the Howling Owl noise scene and a mutual love of Feedback, Fuzz Pedals & Pop Music, Jesuits spent months refining their sound within the confines of their underground rehearsal space, recording to tape and self distributing cassettes at their shows.

Alongside headlining DIY nights and crowded house parties throughout the spring of 2015, the band has played support slots with artists as diverse as Ariel Pink, Moon Duo, YAK and Menace Beach, attracting press and online attention via word of mouth and with minimal online presence.

After completing recordings at Portishead’s J & J studios, Jesuits will be debuting their first offering ‘Carpet Floors’, produced by TJ Allen (Bat For Lashes), with further releases planned for the autumn.
