Beirut adds 13 cities to US tour in support of new album ‘The Rip Tide’
American indie-folk-pop sensation Beirut has extended their fall tour into December, hitting several Northeastern cities in an effort to bring their eclectic new album ‘The Rip Tide’ to as many fans as possible.
Beirut’s talented bunch is made up of a six-piece band including lead singer Zachary Francis Condo, Perrin Cloutier on the accordion and piano, bassist Paul Collins, Ben Lanz on the trombone & tuba, Nick Petree on the drums and Kelly Pratt on the trumpet & euphonium (each talented band member actually plays several more instruments than just the ones listed here).
Released on August 30, the group’s fifth album ‘The Rip Tide’ was produced under Pompeii Records, the label Zachary Francis Condo created to give Beirut complete creative and business control over their own music.
Beirut has blown up worldwide since their debut in 2006 and their American tour is currently underway, receiving rave reviews American band that has blown is pleased to announce additional tour dates in support of new album The Rip Tide, out now via Pompeii Records. The band was recently featured on National Public Radio for a Tiny Desk concert, performing new tracks “East Harlem” and “Sante Fe”.
