DJ HAAi – aka Teneil Throssell, recently released brand new single “Baby, We’re Ascending,” a collaboration with Jon Hopkins. This is the latest release from her highly anticipated debut album of the same name out May 27 via Mute on limited edition splatter vinyl, CD, and digital platforms.

Speaking on the track, Teneil says, “This is a track I made with one of my dearest friends Jon Hopkins. I’d been working on this particular track alone for a while and got stuck with it – I posted a clip on my Instagram one morning and Jon messaged me asking what it was and could we work on it together. It started to evolve after a few weeks and became something quite special and personal for us. Hope you enjoy listening as much as we did making it!”

With community and collaboration being a key theme running through the LP, Baby, We’re Ascending features contributors including Jon Hopkins, Alexis Taylor, Moxie, Obi Franky as well as the spoken word poet and trans-visibility activist Kai-Isaiah Jamal.

HAAi will embark on her debut U.S. tour later this month including a very special date at Detroit’s legendary Movement Festival on May 30. See below for dates and ticket links. She has also announced a very intimate show on May 24 at London’s Corsica Studios.Taking place just three days ahead of the release of her album, Corsica Studios marks the debut of HAAi’s new live show before it officially rolls out later this year.
