Abstract Typography announces new EP
Abstract Typography is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Stan Bull. Today, comes the announcement of his forthcoming release Dawn Chorus, due out June 22nd via Casseblank Records. Bull’s new EP is described as “a carefree rock ‘n’ roll swagger, one that cuts a dash with strutting grooves, nonchalantly cool vocals and liberal uses of scuzzy static. Grasp The Nettle kicks off the EP as it means to go on; in stomping, ragged fashion with pockets of psychedelic giddiness poking out amongst the frazzled riffs. It’s an altogether moodier and darker take on Abstract Typography’s lo-fi garage punk, that has Bull reflecting on the inevitable march of time “now I’ve seen my future completely disappear”. Abstract Typography will hit the road, starting May 26th in Bristol, UK at Dot to Dot Festival.
