After the release of their new album, Sir Render, Navy Blue are back with their new video for the album’s title track, directed by Ahab Mullick. The visual arrives on the heels of a landmark month for Sage Elsesser, including his COLORS performance of “Reflections,” which offered audiences an intimate introduction to one of the album’s most resonant moments. The performance further highlighted the emotional depth and meditative lyricism that have become hallmarks of Navy Blue’s work.

Directed by Ahab Mullick, the video for “Sir Render” expands upon the album’s central themes of self-examination, surrender, and transformation. Through evocative imagery and cinematic storytelling, the visual mirrors the album’s exploration of duality, perseverance, and the difficult process of confronting one’s shadow self.

Released earlier this month, Sir Render features appearances from Earl Sweatshirt, Armand Hammer, Mike Shabb, and a posthumous contribution from Sage’s mentor, Ka, alongside narration from his cousin, the late James Earl Jones.

Sir Render explores the emotional and spiritual uncertainty that precedes personal growth. Across fifteen songs, Sage transforms grief, family history, vulnerability, and self-discovery into a powerful meditation on acceptance and healing.
