Two months ago, we uncorked the bottle that held Ty Segall‘s latest craft brew – his seventh solo album, the towering inferno, Manipulator. It was too hot and too sweet to not to let people know! We put the word out – tell the blogs! Come August 26th via Drag City Records, everybody can come drink their fill. Now it’s two weeks to go until Manipulator, but its still got a good head and a bright fizz to it people, see and hear for yourselves!

Over the weekend, Ty shared the album’s debut single, “Susie Thumb,” and tonight, Wednesday, August 13th, as we count ever-closer to that ol’ street date, Ty will return to the CONAN sound stage, to debut another new song that rules even while in the act of BREAKING the rules. You saw Ty kill on CONAN (even though he really likes Conan – Team Coco, holla!) in his late night debut two years back. Just imagine how things have progressed with two more years of late night playing, recording, touring and living the life of Ty! Be sure to tune into TBS tonight at 11pm Eastern/Pacific, 10pm Central.

Following FYF Fest in Los Angeles, the Ty Segall Manipulator tour kicks off with a four-night residency at the Echo. See the Ty Segall band – Ty (guitar, vocals), Charles Moothart (guitar), Mikal Cronin (bass, vocals) and Emily Rose Epstein (drums) – deal out songs new and old all over North America and Europe.
