TOBACCO Releases New Album, Announces Summer Tour Dates
With the release of TOBACCO‘s third full-length album, Ultima II Massage, comes the announcement of a new set of live dates across the north-east region of North America. The tour is scheduled to go throughout summer, in the months of May, June and July. Listen to “Heavy Makeup” off of TOBACCO’s last album above.
Ultima II Massage is the third album by Pennsylvania-based Thomas Fec, who adopted the stage name TOBACCO in 2008 with the release of his first album, Fucked Up Friends. In addition to TOBACCO, he is also the frontman of the experimental band Black Moth Super Rainbow. The production of the new album saw TOBACCO take a different approach which he justifies by saying, “I wanted to push each song just enough, so that even when the album’s at its wildest, it’s something you can zone out to. It feels like a definitive end to a concept I’ve been trying to perfect forever. Maniac Meat was linear. This time I wanted to do a lot of different things and have them come together as one meditative piece.”
In support of the release of Ultima II Massage, TOBACCO is scheduled to perform at a variety of venues this summer. Details for the live shows can be found below.
