“Things Change” by Kidnap ft: pinkpirate
Kidnap, aka British producer Matt Relton, today releases a new single, “Things Change”, featuring pinkpirate. Speaking about “Things Change”, Kidnap says: “pinkpirate’s vocals contain so much character that I felt my job was to move out the way wherever possible.” Kidnap says. “Woven together with lazy piano and atmospheric production, we offer a warm reflection on the passing of time and the inevitability of change.”
Staying true to his sound, Relton consistently releases music that evokes memories. Through vocals, intricate percussion and melodies, his productions conjure emotions from deep within. A strong streaming artist with over one million monthly listeners on Spotify, Kidnap first gained recognition by winning the iTunes Best Electronic Track in 2012 with “Vehl” released via electronic label Black Butter. Kidnap will be releasing new music in 2023.
pinkpirate is 20-year-old Bognor Regis-based musician and producer Caitlin Brown (she/they). Combining joyful experimentation with pertinent storytelling, their work paints a sincere portrait of a unique new talent. Their first EP, i don’t want to grow up boring was co-produced alongside Bullion (Nilüfer Yanya, Westerman) and is out now on [PIAS] Recordings.
