The Wave Pictures have enlisted the help of filmmaker Darren Hayman for the video for upcoming single, “Missoula”, released on 17th February via Moshi Moshi.

Hayman says of the video: “I like trying to reveal peoples character via odd, peculiar actions. I know David from the Wave Pictures well. he’s one of my best friends. So getting him to break glasses and walk along a disused railway was really a ruse to get him to reveal himself and allow me to show everyone what my friend Dave is like.

We met up midday to film but I was hungry so we went to a cafe. This put us behind schedule and the light quickly diminished as we shot. Luckily I had just read about shooting in low light and I think the dusk shots at the end are amongst the best I’ve done. Anyway that’s it. Just trying to make my friend David look beautiful, with his beautiful song.”

The Wave Pictures are currently on the final leg of their UK tour, and will be in London for a headline show at Islington Assembly Hall in conjunction with Rockfeedback in April.
