Standing On The Corner announces their new album album SOTC (“II”) will drop on September 11, 2026 via XL Recordings. along with announcement, the group are giving fans an advanced taste of the LP WITH new single + visualizer for “Mr. Postman, wait!” Featured artists include:The Warlockettes, Ladybug Mecca, Styles P, Bubba Dupree, Claudette Ortiz, Sonia Sanchez, Solange, Danny Brown .

Standing On The Corner, formed in 2015 Brooklyn, NY, the group moves between several art forms, including film, installation, and sound. Rooted in the cultural exchange between the USA, Puerto Rico, and Africa, and inspired by the sounds of soul, punk, salsa, doowop, jazz, funk, avant-garde, and rap traditions.

SOTC (“II”)  was recorded by bandleader Gio Escobar and core collaborators Jack “Wacko” Nolan, Buz “Man-man” Donald, and Clérida “Ca$h Clay” Eltimé. The result is a tense, genre-defacing record that exists between fried psychedelia, rock-n-roll, no-wave rap, r&b, and post-hardcore energy; a mirror to a national moment of searching for meaning/nothing/sounds/silence/creation/or destruction, through an overarching instability, alienation, decline, and refusal.
