Speedy Ortiz and Carpark Records are very pleased to premiere the latest single from the forthcoming Real Hair EP due out on February 11^th.  “American Horror” can be streamed and shared via Soundcloud here. Before the holiday break the band also debuted the video for “No Below” (which can be seen above and wrapped up an impressive run of shows with the legendary Breeders. The band continues to add dates to their spring tour so check below for the latest!

On Real Hair, the band sets a course between the knotty discord of debut album Major Arcana and the pop bonafides of the preceding Sports EP. Recorded and mixed by Paul Q. Kolderie (Pixies, Radiohead), the new EP finds them subtly adding new techniques to their songbook. Guitarists Sadie Dupuis and Matt Robidoux bring on additional guitar effects to color the roundabout feel of “Oxygal,” while bassist Darl Ferm and drummer Mike Falcone hit hard to deliver the jump-in-the-pit urgency of “American Horror”.
