Solids share video, announce additional shows
Xavier Germain-Poitras (guitar) and Louis Guillemette (drums) from solids, have announced additional dates, adding to an almost endless tour schedule that has seen Solids on the move since the release of their debut record in February. The band will spend almost all of May in the UK (where they play Leeds and the Great Escape Festival) and then head across Europe and Scandinavia. They return home to Canada for a POP Montreal co-presented run of shows that start in June, where the band stops at Sled Island along the way. They round out the summer months in the U.S. on tour with Pity Sex. Their debut album Blame Confusion was released on February 18 via Dine Alone Records. Today the band reveal an intensity-fuelled, black and white video for their Blame Confusion album opener, Over The Sirens that is available today on Youtube. It was shot by director Phil Console. With a nod to 90’s influences like, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr and Superchunk, Solids sublimate their melodies through a wash of distortion and feedback. Blame Confusion was recorded by Adrian Popovich at Mountain City Studio (We Are Wolves,, The Dears).“
