Solids – Xavier Germain-Poitras (guitar) and Louis Guillemette (drums) further celebrate the success of their  Polaris Music Prize long-listed, debut Blame Confusion by rather fittingly, releasing it on cassette format exclusively via the Dine Alone Records store. The Montreal-based duo recently announced a North American tour beginning in September with select dates supporting Flatliners and Single Mothers, a string of East Coast shows (including Halifax Pop Explosion) and a just announced Toronto show in November as part of Noisey’s Holiday Series.

With a nod to 90’s influences like, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr and Superchunk, Solids sublimate their melodies through a wash of distortion and feedback. Blame Confusion was recorded by Adrian Popovich at Mountain City Studio (We Are Wolves, Sam Roberts, The Dears).“ All upcoming tour dates are noted below.
