Soccer Mommy AKA: singer/songwriter Sophie Allison, released her debut album Clean earlier this year via Fat Possum.

Soccer Mommy on the video for “Scorpio Rising”:

“I wanted the video for ‘Scorpio Rising’ to be a bit celestial,” explains Allison of the Jonny Look-directed video. “The whole idea of laying out in a park in the middle of the summer while looking at the stars holds a significance to me, so I wanted to capture that feeling. I think there’s also a sense of isolation shown in the video that reflects both the song and the headspace I was in while writing Clean.”

Along with the release of the video, Soccer Mommy has also been announced as support for Kacey Musgraves on her February 2019 tour. Allison and her band have been touring non-stop this year, including shows and recently wrapped tours with Paramore, Liz Phair, Phoebe Bridgers, Speedy Ortiz, as well as her current run with Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks.
