The Slow Readers Club to Release Live Album

Manchester’s beautiful Central library was reopened earlier this year following a four year period of renovation and to celebrate, The Slow Readers Club played a gig in there, the first band to do so following the building’s refurbishment.  The event was recorded and an album ‘Live At Central Library’ will be available as a digital download.

The neoclassical landmark, built in 1930, was designed by Vincent Harris who drew inspiration from the architecture of The Pantheon in Rome. The library has been celebrated in song by Ewan MacColl and was used regularly by Anthony Burgess, author of A Clockwork Orange, and Morrissey who was often found there when studying for his A-Levels.

Live At Central Library will be released on December 1st along with The Slow Readers Club’s single ‘Forever in Your Debt’.

Manchester based Indie/electro band The Slow Readers Club follow their last single ‘Don’t Mind’ with the re-release of ‘Forever In Your Debt’, an energetic and danceable track with dark, introspective lyrics and rousing chorus.

The re-release of ‘Forever In Your Debt’ is also teamed with a new live album recorded when the band played the newly reopened iconic Central Library in Manchester, the first band to do so.

Live at Central Library will be released on 1st December as a digital download.
