East London staple The 1234 Shoreditch will be returning to Shoreditch Park on September 1st 2012 for its fifth year. We will be celebrating the festivals fifth birthday in a style only The 1234 can, with the very best in new live music in the heart of London’s creative hub.

Founded by legendary promoter Sean McLusky, The 1234 Shoreditch has carved a reputation for hosting not only the most cutting edge up and coming acts but also the artists who have inspired them, this years festival seeing the likes of London ‘Cult Heroes’ The Duke Spirit play along side rapidly ascending
acts such Dirty Beaches, Savages and Gabriel Bruce.

Sam McGarrigle makes grunge inspired pop hits under the name Gross Magic. The happy slacker glam-rock of his EP ‘Teen Jamz’ whipped up frenzy among tastemakers, leaving them eagerly awaiting more. S.C.U.M will again grace Shoreditch Park this year, having released their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Again Into Eyes’ last year anthems like ‘Whitechapel’ could not be played in more suited surrounds. Tipped as ‘the saviours of punk’ Copenhagens Iceage refreshingly infuse post-punk vigor and gothic darkness with a hardcore relentlessness, slaying a set of sold out shows around the US and Europe over the past year, expect shrill brutal carnage.

A showcase for raw innovative talent, the inaugural festival in 2007 saw Florence and The Machine, Hatcham Social and Lightspeed Champion grace the stage as emerging artists. The 1234 Shoreditch have since continued to champion groundbreaking acts, and this years festival will be sure to introduce
audiences to their future favourites.
