“Shape Of It” By Ouri

Ouri, has shared a new video for “Shape Of It.” The track’s accompanying visual, as understated and delicate as the song itself, uses stark camera movement to focus on a performance by Ouri that explores intimacy and human connection. The track, originally released at the tail-end of 2020. “Shape of It” follows her track “Fonction Naturelle” that appeared on the EVER NEW compilation alongside artists such as Mac Demarco and Jessy Lanza, in benefit of Canadian social justice organizations – Black Health Alliance, Indspire, and The 519.

Ourielle Auvé, known professionally as Ouri, grew up in France and moved to Montreal at the age of 16 with dreams of becoming a composer. As Ouri developed her compositional ability, as well as her production and vocal chops, she integrated herself with late night DJ sets in Montreal’s underground rave scene and was eventually selected to take part in Red Bull Music Academy’s Montreal Bass Camp. From there, her profile began to grow as she headlined Boiler Room’s Montreal showcase, toured with the likes of Yves TumoYves Tumor Debuts Video For “Kerosene!”r and Jacques Greene and released her first EP’s Superficial and We Share Our Blood. Now, as she gears up for a new project, she showcases the expansion of her distinctive sonic spectrum beginning with “Shape Of It.”
