S. Carey Records Solo Session for The Current, Expands Tour 'Range of Light' Out now. S carey starts his tour April 4 in Iowa City at Mission Creek Festival

S. Carey recently stopped by The Current to record a piano-only solo session and discuss his new album, Range of Light. Carey’s stripped down performance showcases the center of “Fire-Scene” and “Alpenglow,” not to mention “In the Stream” from 2010’s All We Grow. Stream the audio from the session and watch S. Shot by Kron, the video for “Crown The Pines” explores the rich visual experience that S. Carey will take on tour. Carey’s performance with the full band is awash in a sea of multi-colored lights and layered images – highlighting the lush landscapes found throughout Range of Light. Following performances at Mission Creek Festival and Middle of the Map Fest, live tour dates incoporating these visuals begin Saturday in Norman, OK.
