Run For Cover Records Announces Something In The Way Fest 2025
Run For Cover Records and The Bowery Presents have teamed up to present Something In The Way Fest, the event happens on February 1st and 2nd in Boston, Massachusetts at Roadrunner. The lineup of bands and artists from the Run For Cover Records roster and more from the world of indie rock. The bill includes Slowdive, Fiddlehead, Balance & Composure, Soccer Mommy, Anxious, Mannequin Pussy, One Step Closer, Militarie Gun, and many more, showcasing the wide-reaching scope of RFC’s standing within independent music. Registration for the Something In The Way presale is open now. Presales begin September 25th and tickets will be available widely on September 27th.
This year marks the 20 year anniversaries of both Run For Cover Records and The Bowery Presents. The first iteration of the fest was in 2016 and included Alex G, Modern Baseball, and Turnover, and now the 2025 edition is shaping up to be even bigger. The fest will include two stages at Roadrunner, with performances from over twenty bands and even more to be announced.

Based in Boston, Run for Cover Records (RFC) began its journey in 2004 with a grassroots approach and emerged as a key player in the rapidly growing DIY indie punk scenes along the East Coast. Known for its genre focus—ranging from indie rock and alternative to emo, hardcore punk, and shoegaze, RFC has helped launch the careers of bands such as Modern Baseball, Citizen, and Turnover, and while also collaborating with established acts like Rival Schools, Alex G, and mewithoutYou.
