Rich Aucoin Premieres Video, LP Out 9/9
Following the release of the “Are You Experiencing?” video and the single “Want To Believe”, Rich Aucoin has shared the video for “Yelling In Sleep” today. The animated video was directed by Canadian Joel MacKenzie and was recently awarded “Best Music Video” at Animation Block Party 2014, in Brooklyn. “This song is about the failures in all types of our relationships,” explains Rich. “Yelling in our sleep is a phrase to elicit the frustration we have when we lose these relationships and the nightmare that haunts us afterwards.”
“Yelling In Sleep”, “Want To Believe” and “Are You Experiencing?” are featured on Rich Aucoin’s sophomore full-length album, Ephemeral, due in the U.S. on September 9 via Young Enthusiastic Americans.
Produced by Rich and his drummer, Joel Waddell and mixed by some heavy-weights including Mick Guzauski (Daft Punk / Random Access Memories), this second album offers 10 energetic pop songs with gang vocal shouted choruses of size up to 20 000 people. Inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s ‘The Little Prince’, the lyrics explore universal themes such as the ephemerality of human existence, solitude and the importance of relationships.
