“Retro Lens” by Black On Black
Vancouver based four piece Black on Black creates music very much like their moniker. Dark, brooding, and twisted with slinky hooks and interesting synth sounds. Their sonic palette is heavily influenced in the 80’s with nods to early UK synthwave groups like Joy Division and Echo and the Bunnymen but also with a dash of 90’s alt-rock that gives something your ears can really munch on.
“Retro Lens” is the bands new single. Frontman Damion Ceniccola had this to say about the song: “It’s mostly about looking back at relationships and cutting your loss. Hindsight and so on. It’s always different than what you felt at that time.”
