Primavera Sound 2023 Photo Recap Day 3
Hasta luego Barcelona!
Primavera Sound 2023 in Barcelona closes an edition that was full of musical triumphs and passes the baton to Madrid next weekend.
With 253,000 attendees, Primavera Sound 2023 gathers at the twenty-first edition of the festival, marked by the crowd’s positive reception of the new layout of the site.
On the third day at Parc del Forum, we could enjoy some amazing performances by Rosalía, Calvin Harris, The War On Drugs, St. Vincent, Caroline Polachek, Tokischa, John Cale and many more, before the Brunch Electronik party on Sunday.
Primavera Sound Barcelona 2023 has been everything you would expect it to be, because after twenty-one editions there are already comfortingly familiar traditions here, but also a few surprises. Pet Shop Boys sublimating the concept of performance on Wednesday’s opening day, New Order bidding farewell to their walk down memory lane with Love Will Tear Us Apart, Le Tigre uniting generations. But also Blur playing Luminous for the first time in more than two decades, Ghost setting up a confessional in the Parc del Fòrum, Caroline Polachek dedicating an amazing Sunset to the city of Barcelona, The Wedding Present covering Low in memory of Mimi, Rosalia closing the festival third day with an impressive performance in front of thousands of fans.
This and much more have been Primavera Sound 2023 in Barcelona. And we can’t wait to be back next year: Primavera Sound Barcelona 2024 will be held from the 30th of May to the 1st of June.
