Pillar Point Announce First US Tour; Self-Titled Debut EP Out Now
With the release of the self-titled debut album, Pillar Point announce their first US tour, which is to be held throughout the month of June. Pillar Point was released via Polyvinyl Records and the second track off of the album, “Eyeballs,” can be heard above.
The moody, melancholy electronica music of Pillar Point is the work of Scott Reitherman, who has also been involved with the indie-pop project Throw Me the Statue. Pillar Point was released by Charlie Smith and the themes off the album encompass “heartbreak, loneliness, aging and isolation in an increasingly connected world.” The album-making process took Pillar Project two years and took place in various settings, from Los Angeles to the Bay Area and then Seattle. For this album, Reitherman took a different approach, wanting to “… lay it all out on table this time, to make [the] songs more bare and personal.”
Pillar Point’s tour around the USA is due to start in June. Details for the upcoming shows can be found below.
