Oneohtrix Point Never performed live last month at Hudson Mohawke’s Los Angeles Chimes event for his Boiler Room debut. The night featured performances from Lunice, Sophie, Hudson Mohawke, special guests Captain Murphy, Busta Rhymes and Eric Wareheim. This fall Oneohtrix will hit the road to play select dates at Mutek Mexico, LACMA’s Costume Ball and as part of an installation at MoMA PS1’s Sound Source. At this year’s Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo Lopatin will perform a new composition called Bullet Hell Abstraction I-IV at the Cart Diggers showcase with Rustie and Fatima Al Qadiri. OPN recently graced the University of Manchester’s Jordell Bank Observatory with a live score of Koji Morimoto’s Magnetic Rose, of Akira director Katsuhiro Otomo’s Memories anthology.
