Inner Wave will release the deluxe version of their album See You When I Get Back, will drop via Nettwerk records on September 18, 2026. The LP features six new tracks recorded during the recording sessions of the LP. See You When I Get Back is the follow-up to the band’s 2021’s album Apoptosis. Inner Wave includes Pablo Sotelo, Jose Cruz, Elijah Trujillo, Jean Pierre Narvaez, Felix Holton.

See You When I Get Back comes with an accompanying film and a lyric book featuring photos documenting the band’s incredible rise and behind-the-scenes shots of the film. The resulting film arose from a script penned by Sotelo; after the band enlisted several friends, the end result is a visual document that draws directly from Inner Wave’s own experiences, both poignant and satirical.

The band will be taking the new songs on the road with them, starting on September 17 at Foro Indierocks! in Mexico City, and will play additional shows in Guadalajara at C3 Stage on September 19 and Tijuana at Marko Disko on September 22.

Along with the news, the Los Angeles band are sharing the track “on the spot,” featuring an instrument swap with Cruz writing the bass part and Jean playing the keys – a studio dynamic the band finds amusing since they often trade those parts back when performing live.

““on the spot” reflects on resilience and self-discovery amid external pressures. It explores the feeling of the world trying to hold you back and strip away your freedom, while ultimately emphasizing the importance of learning to be yourself even under intense stress. Although it didn’t make the initial album, it remained a band favorite that they always intended to eventually share with fans.

I don’t think I would’ve been able to make this record with the guys if I hadn’t made that decision,” Sotelo says. “It allowed me to re-evaluate who I was, and who I thought I was—in the context of the band, as an individual, and as an artist.”
