NYC trio New Myths announce debut album

NYC trio New Myths announce debut album 'Give Me Noise' out 10/14; first single "Howl" premieres on playing residency shows at NYC's Pianos through August

New Myths is a NYC based trio made up of Rosie Slater (drums and vocals), Marina Ross (bass and vocals) andBrit Boras (guitar and lead vocals), also a member of Brooklyn based band Future Punx. After being brought together through a string of personal connections- Ross and Slater played together in a band throughout high school, Slater and Boras went to the same jazz conservatory for college, and Boras and Ross were childhood neighbors, the band was formed in 2012. Inspired by the different music they all loved, everything from Blondie to the Cure to Heart to Kate Bush and Joy Division.

After releasing a self-titled EP in 2012 as well as having their track “False Gold” featured on Lou Reed‘s Sirius XM station, the trio is set to release their debut full length Give Me Noise on October 14th, 2014 via their own imprint Taming Ghosts. The surging synth-tinged single “Howl” has just premiered today. Along, with an announcement of a string of live dates the band is playing, including a residency at NYC’s Pianos every Thursday in August. See below for more details.
