“New Day” By Dylan Cartlidge

Dylan Cartlidge, has returned with new single “New Day” the lead-track on his forthcoming album Lucky Shot. Produced by the Ivor Novello-winning Eg White (Adele, Florence + The Machine) and mixed by Engine Earz (SZA, Stormzy, Gorillaz, Skepta, Jorja Smith), Dylan’s strong, compelling vocals join swelling strings and bright drum breaks, as he sings about stepping into unexplored chapters of his life, embracing change and “standing on his own two feet”. The music music video, shot in the vast, open seaside in Camber, East Sussex, on 16mm film. The release follows Dylan’s debut album Hope Above Adversity.

Hailing from the coastal town of Redcar in North-East England, Dylan Cartlidge’s sound reflects a journey of resilience and individuality. Raised in the care system, he faced childhood hardships, from instability to poverty. At 16, he made the life-changing decision to leave behind his past and rebuild, a remarkable story narrated in Hope Above Adversity, capturing his defiant spirit.

“New Day” is the first preview from Dylan Cartlidge’s forthcoming 2025 LP, Lucky Shot, produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Neal H. Pogue (Outkast, Steve Lacy, Doja Cat). Arriving three years after his last, it represents the eagerly-awaited next chapter in this artist’s inspiring story.
