Animal Collective’s Avey Tare is now plotting a new side-project called Slasher Flicks involving ex-Dirty Projectors member Angel Deradoorian and former Ponytail drummer Jeremy Hyman.

“A group of three hippies on a road trip through the backwaters of 2013s rural music scene fall prey to a murderous cannibalistic band making, including a leather-masked, guitar-wielding Avey Tare, his knife-wielding keyboard player Angel Deradoorian, and their cannibal chief drummer and decaying grandfather Jeremy Hyman.”

They will be playing a few select dates this spring including the Deerhunter-curated ATP festival in Camber Sands.
