After the release of their debut album The Pilgrim, Their God and the King of My Decrepit Mountain, which arrived, last January via Heavenly Recordings, Tapir! are back with new single “Nail in a Wooden Trunk”. The track follows previous single “Hallelujah Bruv”.

“Nail in a Wooden Trunk” is a playful attempt to capture the glorious, celebratory noise of their live shows in the studio, “Nail in a Wooden Trunk” is the sound of one day in the life of Tapir! at east London’s legendary Total Refreshment Centre. A rolling, countrified beauty with nursery rhyme simplicity, it’s the sound of a band having a whole load of fun.

Talking about the track, Ike, lead-vocalist of Tapir! said: After being so meticulous with our album, we wanted to try a more ‘carefree’ & playful approach with this song. The song was written in a day and then brought to life during our last tour. We then recorded it live in a day at Total Refreshment Centre in East London with Yuri and Hywel, the producers from our very first song, ‘My God’.
