Fresh off releasing his newest album ‘Modes III’, Ottawa’s Spookey Ruben has shared his new single “Mr. Everywhere”. The song was recorded in 5 languages, each coming with its own music video. Last year, Spookey also celebrated the 20th anniversary of his debut album with a special reissue which was released at the end of last year.

Spookey is currently undertaking a live residency in Los Angeles called ‘Naked Brunch’ every Sunday @ Kibitz Room, live and unplugged and featuring special guests each week.

Spookey Ruben aka Alan Deil is a musician, producer, songwriter, composer, and short film maker. Deil’s songwriting and eccentric production techniques often contrast high and low vocals, analogue keyboards, found sounds, sampled beats and stringed instruments such as electric and Spanish guitar.

Beginning in 2008, Spookey Ruben has been filming a series of short films entitled ‘Spookey Ruben’s Dizzy Playground’, episodes feature artists such as Ariel Pink, Feist and Brendan Canning of Broken Social Scene.
