Intergalactic archeologists Moviestar describe their latest album as “a collection of sci-fi infused punk-rock tracks”. The full-length Stupid People / Happy Days is out now via Oh Yeah!. Today, the band is sharing the album-track and video for “Lonely”.
Moviestar formed in the future on planet Fenris, Infinity Vik, The Octopus Goddess and The Anaconda create their own unique version of art punk pop, filled with sonic twists and eccentric electronica throughout. The dynamic trio were chosen to go on a dangerous mission through space and time to retrieve “the stone” and save the world. Moviestar were then sent to Norway, the safest nation in the world, in the dreaded year of 2016.
Moviestar on “Lonely”
This is a typical anti-depressant song. Don’t take a pill, take this song. It tells the tale of how a tiny spark set the universe and everything it contains in motion. Bang! All is one. No one is nothing. Everyone is everything. We are all made up of The Big Bang. The sensation of loneliness is therefore an illusion, so please don’t worry. Music is the medicine for these kinds of illusions.”
