These performers and more, plus and an exciting group of already announced acts (full lineup is below) will descend upon downtown Asheville, Friday, October 25-Sunday, October 27, for what is certain to be an unforgettable weekend of live music and other activities.
Mountain Oasis is pleased to present the US premiere of King Britt Presents Fhloston Paradigm featuring Pia Ercole. This was created by King Britt in an experimental attempt to go back to a semi primitive process of CV triggers and analog sequences. Within this experiment lies the connection between old world ideas and new world technology, with the result remaining otherwordly and the outcome being somewhere between “Blade Runner” and “808 State.”
Woven around the twin threads of contemporary electronic music and the creative use of technology – old and new – Mountain Oasis features world-class musical performances by many of the greatest artists in contemporary music, along with talks, seminars, and panels by artists and others; interactive experiences for audiences; art installations and exhibitions, and more. The events all take place indoors, within easy walking distance of one another, in the heart of downtown Asheville. The mountain oasis that is Asheville provides extraordinary inspiration as a stunningly beautiful and unique setting for the festival. Both its rich cultural history and its current innovative vitality are inseparable from the Mountain Oasis experience.
