Mount Kimbie share new track “Empty and Silent,” featuring King Krule. The song follows recent single “Fishbrain” and is off their forthcoming LP The Sunset Violent, available April 5th via Warp Records. Mount Kimbie will be on tour this spring with sold out shows in Los Angeles and Paris followed by a festival slot at Detroit’s Movement festival in addition to European headline festival dates including Spain’s Primavera and London’s Rally Festival.

The Sunset Violent was written in California’s Yucca Valley, a scant Western town with a history of alleged UFO sightings before being finished in London. The desert’s surrealistic, auburn-tinged tones and sparse Americana landscape can be heard across each of the album’s nine tracks.
