Cuffed Up have shared new single “Mock Dance,” a track off their forthcoming album All You got, available April 5th via Hit the North Records. The band was Formed by vocalist/guitarist Torrefranca and drummer, Joe Liptock in 2018 and joined by Apostolopoulos in 2022. The Los Angeles trio share a penchant for U.K. post-punk revival (particularly Shame, whose first L.A. show inspired Torrefranca to form Cuffed Up) to the gentle sounds of of Death Cab for Cutie (a special influence, given Torrefranca and Liptock were in the same DCFC cover band, and Torrefranca and Apostolopoulos were at the same DCFC show in 2008, long before they met). The new single, follows earlier album tracks such “Little Wins” and “Finer Things.”

When speaking about the new single that works as pointed critique of internet trolls, Torrefranca says: “The Internet has turned us into untrustworthy, mindless yet ruthless monsters. We basically “peacock” and “perform” our fake identities online because we’re too obsessed about how people “see” us or what they think of us. Then we complete the transformation as we spew irrational and hateful ideas at each other online, cowardly hiding behind the keyboard at the end of the day.”
