The Middle Names Release New Video For “My Brother And I”
Originating from the small Australian island state of Tasmania, The Middle Names marked their debut into the music industry with the release of their debut album “I Need Space,” released on May 2nd via Reuban Records / MGM. Watch the video for their new single “My Brother and I” here.
The band consists of Ben Wells, Nick Probin, Ali Probin, Jordan Hooper and Ryan Doyle. Wells describes the band’s sound as “…something different – pop that stands out, pop music that still hits you in the face and lets you sing along at the same time.” I Need Space took a year to finish and the lyrical content of the album was inspired from a 6 month period of the band members’ lives, which Wells describes as the time that they left their “small town mentality and spend months surfing, writing, drinking and making new friends.” The album was produced by Magoo who has produced for artists such as The Jungle Giants and Midnight Oil at Magoo’s Applewood Lane Studios.
The Middle Names have performed at some of Australia’s most renowned festivals such as Falls Festival Marion Bay, Dark MoFo and BIGSOUND, supporting acts such as Ball Park Music, San Cisco, The Jungle Giants, Snakadaktal and Husky.
