M.I.A. has shared a new track, titled “Popular,” available today via Island Records, along with an official music video, featuring influencer-bot-in-training M.A.I. Produced by Diplo and Boaz van de Beatz, “Popular” follows previous single “The One,” which was released in May and comes ahead of her anticipated full length studio album MATA which will see its global release via Island Records. This new body of work, recorded in London, Los Angeles, Italy, Bali, Jakarta, and St Vincent, signifies a new era for the artist and activist.
