LustSickPuppy Shares New Track “BLISSTER”
New York rapper/producer/electronic artist LustSickPuppy has announced their debut album, Carousel From Hell for April 26th. Today you can hear the new song “BLISSTER”, a two-minute burst of electronic, hardcore and rap, woven with hypnotic, siren-like melodies. The album, which will be self-released, is a pure anarchic amalgamation of rap, and punk energy blended with high-octane jungle and other club-style beats with the goal of “genrefucking, representing Black weirdos, de-centering white spaces, destruction of male-dominated spaces, representation of femme producers, murder of the patriarchy, and the creation of space for POC queer people.” A notable shift from past works, LustSickPuppy is the sole producer on the album. They note:
“I’ve always felt this tense feeling in my chest that needed to come out and I had no real way of escaping it. I spent years of my life isolated in my head, not knowing who I was or how to feel and was constantly searching for chaos to make sense of the chaos I felt inside me. When I started producing it felt like for the first time I actually tangibly felt and heard all that was going on inside me.”
LustSickPuppy has also announced their New York album release show for April 27th at Baby’s Alright. Tickets for that go on sale this Friday, March 22nd.
