LOWELL releases new single “Blow the Bass”
A few months ago, LOWELL released “High Enough” – the debut song/video from her upcoming Part 1: PARIS YK EP, which is set to be released on August 26 via Arts & Crafts. Today, she is sharing the track “Blow the Bass”, Equal parts art-punk brat and sex-positive icon, Lowell’s music confronts LGBTQ issues and women’s rights with the exultance of dance-floor dream-pop. The Part 1: PARIS YK EP features production by Grammy and Juno Award-nominated Zale Epstein (Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q), Davey Badiuk (Dragonette, Tegan and Sara), and Lowell herself. The EP artwork is attached below and is being revealed for the first time. This new EP reflects on a formative period of Lowell’s life spent in Canada’s Yukon Territory. Intuiting northern lights and tundra with synonymous sound, Lowell personifies the stark North in contrast with her vibrant life as a musician.
