lots of hands drop new single “masquerade”
lots of hands have dropped new track “masquerade,” the song is off their upcoming Fire Talk (Dehd, Cola ) debut, into a pretty room, available January 17th. Along with the news, the group has announced a 2025 headlining UK tour dates in support of the record, dates include London and Leeds and more. The LP was crafted between pints of beer and rounds of Fortnite, into a pretty room occupies the space between moments of tragedy and triumph.
into a pretty room arrives after years of remote collaboration between the core duo of Billy Woodhouse and Elliot Dryden, and marks lots of hands’ first truly collaborative record. New single “masquerade” is at once jaded and joyful. “masquerade” sees Dryden return to the pen, interrogating political theater through electronic-speckled indie folk. “They’re always droning bullshit,” Dryden sings through layers of filtered vocals and spacious instrumentation. “Do you see through?”
into a pretty room was written, recorded, and reworked in Woodhouse’s bedroom studio, with Dryden often trekking the vast northern English countryside for the duo’s first-ever joint sessions. The songs span from Hank Willians-inspired odes, and touching ambient tones, and conceived across painful moments of growth and grief, into a pretty room is a decidedly hopeful effort, anchored by the duo’s friendship.
