“Lost” by Fusilier
Brooklyn via Atlanta multi-artist Blake Fusilier AKA: Fusilier, has shared “Lost,” the new single is off his just-released album Treason. “Lost,” a song that starts dissonant, hesitant, and syncopated. It shrinks into a dense, calm resolve before its final explosion. “I was lost in my youth, I would hide it in my room,” he sings, recounting what it was like growing up Black & queer in the white suburbs of Atlanta and then facing similar realities in Boston while attending Boston University.
Fusilier’s Treason explores the realities of race, sexuality, violence, youth, and artistic expectations. Enveloped with intention and purpose, each track is a love letter to the range of artists that Fusilier is most inspired by like Nine Inch Nails, Bill Withers, and Fela Kuti.
