Local Natives Drop New Single “Alpharetta”
Local Natives, share new single “Alpharetta”, the song is inspired by “feeling of being on the threshold between an old and new life”. Guitarist and vocalist Ryan Hahn was inspired to write the track on the cusp of becoming a father. The track follows the single, “April”. On Monday April 8, tickets will go on sale for the band’s release day event at Brain Dead Studios in LA. This will include an acoustic session, Q&A and the premiere of their upcoming short film directed by Jonathan Chu.
But I’ll Wait For You is the result of nearly two decades of brotherhood, and a mantra of reassurance in response to relentless changes. In a statement about the album the Local Natives said “But I’ll Wait For You is the companion piece to our 2023 release <emTime Will Wait For No One>. Maybe not an answer to a question but an exhale to an inhale. There is so little that’s in our control but among all this chaos, we can choose to be there for each other.” The album showcases the band’s seminal harmonies as well as an adventurousness that explores new territory for the Local Natives.
