"Let It Go" by Freak Heat Waves

Freak Heat Waves, recently shared “Let It Go.” The Canadian post-punk/electronic duo, their new album Zap The Planet on September 4, via Telephone Explosion (Odonis Odonis, Pantayo, Scott Hardware”). The new track follows previous releases, “Dripping Visions” and “Nothing Lasts Forever.” Zap The Planet follows 2018’s Beyond XXXL. The duo had a busy year, playing shows with Suuns, Preoccupations, METZ and more. The duo, who are now based at opposing ends of the country in Montréal and Vancouver.

New single, ‘Let It Go’ is an arresting amalgamation of stuttering electronic beats and scorched samples that are layered, once again, with Steve Lind’s baritone vocals. The band are no stranger to the lysergic connotations this time flexing the aesthetic once more with dreamlike synths and jarring rhythms, describing the track they say: “This track is about how you gotta walk it like you talk it or you just gotta let it go”.
