Karin Ann has collaborated with Imogen Heap, the second remix from her debut album, through the telescope, which dropped last May. While Imogen Heap produced the remix, her vocals are actually AI-generated, using a model developed in-house with her team. This marks the second release featuring Imogen’s AI voice companion, ai.mogen.

The creative spark between Karin Ann and Imogen Heap first ignited on the set of the music video for Karin Ann’s original version of “i don’t believe in God.” Imogen’s cameo appearance in the video hinted at a deeper connection between the two artists. This initial collaboration led to Imogen remixing not only “i don’t believe in God” but also Karin Ann’s earlier single, “false gold.”

Karin Ann’s music delves into themes of gender equality, mental health, and human rights, exploring the inner struggles of youth, including topics like young love, toxic relationships, and insecurities. She also touches on her experience growing up as a queer woman in Slovakia. Initially drawn to the arts as a coping mechanism for her ADHD, Karin pursued art and graphic design until a hand injury forced her to withdraw from art school. Inspired by Grace VanderWaal, she found solace in songwriting on her ukulele, leading her to explore music as a form of expression.
