JPEGMAFIA announces I Lay Down My Life For You (Directors Cut)

JPEGMAFIA has dropped new single, “Protect The Cross”, the track, is the first from a brand new Director’s Cut of his 2024 album, I Lay Down My Life For You. His first solo project for three years, I Lay Down For You came is from his albumalbum in Scaring The Hoes, the artist’s project with Danny Brown – and his production work on VULTURES 1. Executive produced and mixed by Peggy, I Lay Down My Life For You includes samples and features from Denzel Curry, Vince Staples and Buzzy Lee.

The album’s new iteration takes the original’s explosive experimentation and elevates it even further, with a total of 12 completely new tracks being integrated into the project – recalibrating the album’s tracklist and placing the project in a new context. Built into a two-disc set up, the first part of the project sees the inclusion of songs from the album’s original sessions, adding deeper layers to JPEGMAFIA’s artistic perspective within this period, with the second disc being comprised of bonus tracks that fit within the project’s sonic universe – making way for a complete re-imagination from Peggy.

After a run of North American Tour dates, JPEGMAFIA is presently in the EU/UK on the “LAY DOWN MY LIFE” world tour.
